2015 Men’s and Women’s 19 Beach Handball Championships

On behalf of the European handball family, I welcome you all to Spain for the 6th edition of the younger age category Beach Handball European Championships; over the next three days we invite you to enjoy beach handball delivered by a younger generation of players.

Once again, the European Handball Federation is putting the European champions of tomorrow in the spotlight today! The coastal township of Lloret de Mar offers the perfect setting for this pre-summer event by proffering a dedicated event area which boasts multiple playing courts with plenty of space for the fans on the tribunes, in addition to an exciting entertainment programme with many side activities.

As we welcome the teams to Lloret de Mar, a delightful city north of Barcelona, we look forward to the first throw-off of the tournament. The matches have been scheduled to secure the optimum enjoyment for all visitors.

At the last edition of the tournament in Randers, Denmark in 2013, the national teams from Hungary took the gold medal in both the men’s and women’s categories. Now the champions crowned in Denmark have travelled to Spain to defend their titles over the next three days. With plenty of action just waiting to happen, we look forward to an exciting tournament, I wish all the teams the very best of luck!

This event will come to a close on 28 June; however, the handball excitement will continue as the senior Beach Handball European Championships for men and women are played consecutively from the 30 June to 5 July 2015.

Welcome to Spain and enjoy the tournament!
